Watercolor Sunday and Saturday's Color: September 2016

Believe it or not, with this post I start a new year of Watercolor Sundays and Saturday's Colors here on this blog.  My first stab at showing my Facebook entries here was September 2015.  That means I have completed 52 weeks of Watercolor Sunday and Saturday's Color for one year. Let's see if I can continue this journey...which has actually been quite soulful for me, as well as a challenge.

So, starting this new fiscal year, here's my Watercolor Sundays on Facebook for September 2016:

September 4 (photo manipulation):
"Slow down, you move too fast.
You got to make the morning last.
Just kicking down the cobble stones.
Looking for fun and feelin' groovy."
--Paul Simon

Happy Labor Day weekend to my American family and friends!

September 11 (photo manipulation):
"If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe."
--Carl Sagan

September 18 (photo manipulation):
"We know that our world is corrupt and diseased but we're tired of being cynical
and feeling helpless.  What the hell, tilt at a windmill."  --Cynthia Heimel

September 25 (photo manipulation):
"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."
--Albert Camus

My Saturday's Color posts on Facebook for September:

(finished on 13 August 2016, posted on FB 3 September 2016)
This is one of 16 designs from my Celtic Stained Glass Coloring Book on translucent paper.
It means you can actually hang this in the window and see the light shine through it!

(finished on 28 August 2016, posted on FB 10 September 2016)
Friends in England gave me this Vintage Patterns book 2 years ago, full of patterns
celebrating "a golden age of art and design."  This one does remind me of something from my youth
that I can't put my finger on...maybe a dress my mom wore???  LOL.

(finished on 4 September 2016, posted on FB 17 September 2016)
I keep coming back to my Kaleido Color book on black-background paper because it...
just "does something" to me.  I also keep coming back to the four primary colors, I see
(correction:  I mean 3--blue, red, yellow, with one added secondary color--green)!

(finished on 21 September 2016, posted on FB 24 September 2016)
Last Saturday Astrid bought me a 12" x 12" DUTCH MANDALAS book,
which I tackled immediately.  Remember, it doesn't take much to make me happy!
And, yes, we are now safe-n-sound in Bath, England, with our photography friends.

There you have it...the start of a new year of soulful happiness.

    1. I think you're "part of the crowd" on that one, Robin. It seemed to be the favorite on FB as well. :)

  3. Another month went by and again this post with all your creativity. Love it. For some reason the windmills are wonderful, I think the simplicity of these landmarks and how well they turned out is the reason. I am looking forward to the next month. IHVJ.
