How sweet of you! As I said in my V&V post, the cruicifix is growing on me, the more I see it here in Europe and come to terms with it. There's always more than one way to "see," and for me that's what most of this Journey is all about! Thank you.Ginnie Harthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14014434422568561157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10327858.post-53007848937221993452014-04-25T21:18:38.177+02:002014-04-25T21:18:38.177+02:00I thought it a lovely V&V. The crucified Jesus photo is amazing. Of course, I prefer the crucifix as it reminds us we all have our cross to carry. Plain crosses, empty crosses seem a bit boring to me :) I do like when they are draped with the white cloth at Easter, though.Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00007201357693227614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10327858.post-66603428931908091122014-04-23T16:26:34.703+02:002014-04-23T16:26:34.703+02:00Awwww. Do you know that decorated ostrich eggs were found, and they were 60,000 years old… My Egyptian cousins told me that in the tombs of the pharaohs painted eggs had been found, painted with animal, plant and geometric styles – that was a long time before Christianity. In France Easter is called Paques, but the celtic religion gave painted eggs to their goddess Eostre which became the word “easter” – isn’t that so interesting. But now I can’t make the connection about how offering of painted eggs to a pagan goddess became a symbol for rebirth in the Christian religion – that is mysterious.
Vagabondehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10774109692564954568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10327858.post-76493977334014537922014-04-22T18:05:30.278+02:002014-04-22T18:05:30.278+02:00I think you did good with changing the pictures, I...I think you did good with changing the pictures, I both like them, however, Jesus on the cross is more bombastic than the lighthearted pictures of the roosters. This is my personal opinion though.
I will now go over the V&V and read the post. As a kid I could never figure out how rabbits layed eggs that produced chickens. Maybe that's the secret; God works in mysterious ways.

Well, what kind of answer do you expect from an atheist?

Happy Easter.
Ted Rothhttp://rothphotos.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
