Queen for a Day

HA! If he can't take a joke, shame on him!

Here's Bob, our friend from Rainbow Class days at church years ago...one who has stayed in touch with us all these years! I met with him this past weekend and caught up on everything under the sun, like we always do: camera equipment, relationship issues, the stock market, health, yada yada yada.

And Bob said, "I would love to be honored on your blog, Ginnie!" So, here's to you, Bob, and all the success we both need in today's world.

Here's to friendship and what makes the world go 'round!

  3. Indeed it wasn't a joke to be on your blog!
Ginnie, you know I've been just so impressed with your spiritual wisdom and intelligence from the days of your teachings at the Rainbow Sunday School Class. That, combined with your emotional and intellectual intelligence reminds me of a quote by Anais Nin:
"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."
Donica, thanks for the complement. The same applies to the both of you as well and here's a descriptive quote:
"A faithful friend is a strong defense: and he that hath found such a one hath found a treasure." * Ecclesiasticus 6:14
    You are both loved, Namaste.

  5. Donica, I don't have your individual e-mail address, but Ginnie's e-mail from earlier today had rolled way off my screen and I just read it. It struck me she is just so very busy preparing for your Saturday arrival and getting back to the retired life of providing support for you. Imagine that...stressful time management in preparing for retired life!! The life of abundance. (grinning)
And I'm thrilled to read a Marriott is only a 10 minute walk from your place in AMS. :-)

  6. Ruth: Yes, he does! And they do! :)

    Donica: Friendship, indeed.

Bob: That is such a beautiful quote that I always love reading. Thanks for writing it down for us here.

Tim: A smile says it all, doesn't it!

    Karen: Thanks!

Bob: It IS a life of abundance, however we live it in our hearts of joy!

  9. Ginnie, Thanks for sharing Bob's BIG friendly face - instead of the little postage stamp size we've seen. Wonderful to have treasured friendships!

  10. So happy my father has friends like you, Ginnie, to help keep him sane in Georgia. :) It's amazing that you two have keep in touch and close over these years. Friends do make all the difference.

I do miss the fall foliage that you have pictured.
