Selective Coloring

Another book, yes!  (This one, again, is for my children, before I'm dead and buried.  And not to worry--the well will run dry soon enough!)

The book explains what "selective coloring" is and how it's done photographically, using 129 of my images.

Click on this Selective Coloring link and then click on the book.
Then click on "Full Screen" in the top-right corner.
(The book is 12x12 inches, 110 pages, 129 photos.)

Or, if you're already at my In Soul photoblog, you can go to my left sidebar and click on the book there under My Photo Books, which will redirect you to this page.

Shutterchance Photo Books: Boat, Bike and Windmill Friday

Because these books were created and published this year, I want to make sure they're listed on my left sidebar (under My Photo Books) before the new year arrives.  So, here goes.

Since 2006 (when I lived in America), I have been part of the Shutterchance photoblog out of England, which includes many of what have become our dearest friends all over the world.  Astrid (from the Netherlands) joined the group in 2007 and, as we all know, the rest is history...with our marriage here in the Netherlands in 2010, where we still live.

These three books are "for the record" (for my kids, actually!) and cover the photos I deemed my best form the 3 categories we often use for our Friday posts, first starting with Boat Friday, and then Bike Friday.  I added Windmill Friday because of, duh, the Netherlands!

BOAT FRIDAY:

Click on this Boat Friday link and then click on the book.
Then click on "Full Screen" in the top-right corner.
(The book is 11x14 inches, 110 pages, 229 photos.)

BIKE FRIDAY:

Click on this Bike Friday link and then click on the book.
Then click on "Full Screen" in the top-right corner.
(The book is 11x14 inches, 110 pages, 158 photos.)

WINDMILL FRIDAY:

Click on this Windmill Friday link and then click on the book.
Then click on "Full Screen" in the top-right corner.
(The book is 11x14 inches, 110 pages, 160 photos.)

Or, if you're at my In Soul photoblog, you can go to my left sidebar and also click on the books there, which will redirect you to this page.

As you can see, it's a series!  And, I repeat, for the record (and in case you're interested)!  And, yes, we both continue to post whenever possible, usually on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, weekly:

Astrid is at Picturit.
Ginnie is at Hart & Soul.

Hart Whispers

Another photo book is now added to my left sidebar under My Photo Books, given to my children, Amy and Mark, during our just-finished annual trip to Atlanta:

(Click here to view the book, click on the book, and then click on "Full Screen" in the top-right corner.)

The book is 11 x 14 inches, 111 pages.

My foreward to them:
For when neither Time or Place or Memory capture the moment
more than the hallowed recognition of Something Bigger than ourselves,
begging for whispers...if we speak at all.

Over time, little by little, I'm compiling what I deem my best photos into photo books for my children for when I'm gone.  They always say they'll want to do something with my photos from my myriad photo files, which I know will never happen.  For me, this is a much better way to "give" them what they want.

In this case, these photos represent the Mother Nature shots I want them to have.

50 Years of Amy

Another book is now up on my sidebar, under My Photo Books!

THIS time it's to celebrate daughter Amy's 50th birthday from when she was born on September 30, 1972, 50 years ago today.

(Click here to view the book, and then click on the book, after which
you then click on "Full Screen" in the top-right corner.)

The book is 11 x 14 inches, 111 pages.  And, yes, it covers 50 years of her life,
as told through MY eyes...the eyes of her mother.

I've just posted this collage on my Facebook page:

What else do you need to know!  I love her!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMY!

My Dutch Weathervanes Book

It's done!

It took me only a week to do it...380 images on 94 pages...a book that's been in the wings for a long time, as most of you already know.  I'm glad it's finally come to fruition.

Enjoy:

[I apologize that the embed code from Shutterfly does NOT allow this book to be fully displayed correctly in the video.  Pages 34-35 should be a full-page spread, but because it's not, the rest of the book is off-kilter.

If you click on the "view this photo book larger" link below the video, and then click "view" when it opens, you can see the book exactly as it should be, but it will be hard to read the text unless you enlarge your screen several times:  Ctrl + for Windows; Command + for Mac?]

And now you can also find it on my sidebar.

Nicholas Joseph Grannan

Did I mention that my only grandchild became a TEENAGER in July!

So, I just had to figure out something to honor this huge milestone for him and his mom in particular.  All 110 pages and 1,000 images of Shutterfly's maximum in a 12x12-inch book!  A gift from me to him to her.

I'm sure you get the picture...HA!

Click here to preview the book (110 pages).
(You also have the option to view it in full screen.)

That's my boy!  Enjoy....
