Nicholas Joseph Grannan

Did I mention that my only grandchild became a TEENAGER in July!

So, I just had to figure out something to honor this huge milestone for him and his mom in particular.  All 110 pages and 1,000 images of Shutterfly's maximum in a 12x12-inch book!  A gift from me to him to her.

I'm sure you get the picture...HA!

Click here to preview the book (110 pages).
(You also have the option to view it in full screen.)

That's my boy!  Enjoy....

    1. To be honest, Mad, this is more a gift to AMY, though I know Nicholas is thrilleed as well. I made it to be a gift from me to him...to her. I was Skyping with both of them when she opened it and loved that she had no clue whatsoever, even though Dennis was involved in scanning and sending me some of the early pictures. So fun!

And, yes, Astrid had a great birthday. Next year is the Big One. :)

  4. That was a labour of love. I watched you creating this incredible gift for Amy. The Skype was great, Nicholas did a great job and Amy was totally surprised and she loves it.
A book to keep and a memory to cherish.

    1. Few things have given me as much joy and satisfaction as making this book, MLMA, and YOU are the one who knows that more than anyone...well, besides Amy, since she has made books for me and I have been equally surprised and thrilled.

Today I plan to put the book up on my sidebar.... :)

  5. What an AMAZING gift, Mom! And, as you know, a huge surprise, especially once I found out that you had accomplices! Every now and then I look through Nicholas' baby/toddler albums, but the majority of the photos from his life are now accessible through this one, beautiful keepsake. THANK YOU, again, for having the idea and for putting your time and love into this. The three of us looked through it together, one page, one photo at a time.Priceless.

    I love you!

    1. You have already done this twice for ME, Amykins, so I am just glad I could finally surprise YOU. Now we have both been on the giving and receiving end of photo books! :)

Astrid can tell you how thrilled and fulfilled I was throughout this project, from beginning to end. In fact, few things have gratified me more!

      I love you, too!

    1. You sure know how to make my day, Ruth. THANK YOU. The wonderful thing is that YOU (and Don and Peter and Lesley and your farm!) are in it, too, and will also be passed down through the generations. :)

  7. Love. It is all about love, these beautiful pages. What a gift ... and one you can update. He is so adorable. I just watched my youngest ride off on the school bus for Kindergarten yesterday... sigh.

Thank you so much for stopping by and looking. You've surprised me and made my day!

  9. So sweet! I remember so much of his years between 6 and 9 but where does the time go! Can't he always stay small! I know this will happen with Cam. What a book, so wonderful.

    1. Thank you, Jen! Your dear Cam will not stay small forever, so take your images of her and safe-guard them. One day she will be as old as Nicholas...a teenager. OMG. Watch out then!
