How about something none of us expected! I guess when you're always looking up for weathervanes...but don't find them...you're happy to notice what IS there.
So I collected them!
How can you not be mesmerized!
Almost as elegant as any ornamental tower.
Don't you love the tiny roofs?
These were at the end of our wee canal near our B&B.
They remind me of trumpets tooting their horns.
I know. Silly me. But I had to collect something!
lol... that's such a cute collection :) they seem to be proud of their chimneys! i honestly don't know how santa claus fits down them though hehe
ReplyDeleteI would agree, Elaine, that they're proud of their chimneys. HA! Santa Clause? Who cares. There's more than one way to skin the cat!
DeleteBeautiful collection, Ginnie. I miss the weathervanes just a little though.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie. And I agree...because I'm missing weathervanes, too! I think we need to go on a hunt again SOON!
DeleteHi Ginnie. It is really an original and excellent idea to have photographed the chimneys of Venice. I would not have thought of it. It is interesting and sometimes some are funny
ReplyDeleteIt's fun, Marie, isn't it, to discover something new, especially when they're so different from what we're used to! :)
DeleteQuite fun. Leave it to you to discover this collection. I love them!
ReplyDeleteIt WAS fun, Ruth. Even Astrid was trying to help me find them. :) Thanks.
DeleteThis is a fun post. Who would think of of the different chimneys. It was fun to look for them and there are many different ones. I love the small terracotta one, it looks like a big whistle.... IHVJ
ReplyDeleteI know. Who would have thunk! I like that small terracotta one, too. :) IHVJ.
DeleteI couldn't agree more...the chimneys are my most memorable visions of Venice...more so than the gondolas! Great collection!
ReplyDeleteOh, my, Robin. Who would have known that! Our voices are rising up out of the woodwork. HA!
