For the next three days, Monday-Wednesday, I'm off to find my Roots: first to Hartsville, SC, (east of Columbia off of I-20), the city founded by my great-great grandfather; then to Lynchburg, VA, where I was born in 1945; on to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, where Dad attended; and finally, to Bridgewater, VA, (south of Harrisburg), to see Auntie Sue, my dad's sister and only living relative from the generation before me.
When I come back, I'll tell you what I found!
