Priceless!

On my way home from the horse pastures the other day...

...this lady and child popped in out of nowhere. (Thank God for my zoom because I never would have caught them otherwise.)

This child knows me or maybe I know her. That's how wistfully I look back every time I leave!

  1. This little girl is absolutely precious! I wish we could see what her doll is wearing.

  2. So cute! Love that she's carrying her "baby".

This might sound like a Canon commercial but I find the zoom so powerful on the S3IS that I often use mine just to look at things I can't see well. Handier than binoculars and I can snap a pic if I want to.

  3. Mrs.M/Shari: I thought the same thing. In fact, I wished I could have been in front of them to see them from that perspective, too, but then, I probably couldn't have taken a pic! The little girl reminds me of an "old soul" Earth Mother! Or a traveling gypsy!

Jozee: Exactly. I can't tell you how many times I could gladly make a commercial for them. Any time! Believe it or not, sometimes those shots are better than macros! So glad somebody knows what I mean :)

  6. Mad: Yes--it was all those layers that made me think she was from the '70's :)

Renny: Awww. Comfort is a good word for that pic!

    Jozee: So fun :)

  7. They look quite European, don't they? I don't imagine a pair looking like this on a walk in Atlanta. I wonder what's in the bag . . . lunch?

    The girl looks timeless.

  10. Ruth: Yes, very European! We might see somethig like this in Little Five Points in midtown Atlanta, which is quite eclectic. Lunch? Maybe, since it was around 12:30-ish. I'm guessing Mommy had just picked her up from daycare/Noah's Ark Kindergarten?

    Tim: Thanks.

ET: And thanks to you, too.
