One of my simplest pleasures of all time is popping bubble wrap! Whenever it comes to the house wrapping something, large or small, my eyes are wide open with anticipation. It doesn't take much to make me happy, as you know by now.
The only problem? It drives Donica crazy! So I have to find my own corner of the house or the car, when I'm alone, to satisfy my fetish.
In case you need some Labor Day fun on Monday (yup, this is a holiday weekend for us Americans!), here's some virtual bubble wrap to pop. Or click on the above image. Just don't get anywhere close to Donica!

I'm smiling at the mental image this post evokes, you huddled furtively in some secret corner of the house with a mischevious smile on your face, popping away at your bubble wrap. :D Very cute.
ReplyDeleteHuuuu ... stop it please ;-))))
ReplyDeleteLisa: You did a good job with your mental image :) Just about right!
ReplyDeleteKPK: HaHa.
James: Actually, that's probabloy true of most people. For all I know, it may be true of Donica! I'll have to ask her :)
I have to agree with James, I enjoy popping the little things (don't they just call you to pop them when you see them???) but I can NOT stand to hear someone else making all that noise! So...I guess I see this as something everyone should do alone!
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many people in the world at this very moment are popping bubble wrap secretly. I would be, if I only had some. (Couldn't wait for the virtual one on dialup.)
ReplyDeleteDonica: AHA! The truth comes out when we're talking about you :)
ReplyDeleteRuth: HA. Do you know, it's actually good exercise (the smaller bubbles the better) for the fingers, especially if you're a massage therapist! The larger bubbles are easy for me to pop (and therefore are more fun) but the littlest ones are hard work. Good exercise :)
Oh, Ginnie, that is so much fun! Especially when there real. ;) I tried the virtual; but it's just not the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind other people doing it if I can join in with them.
Ginnie, I just went back and tried Manic Mode on the Net site. Now that is fun!!
ReplyDeletedon't forget us Canadians up here too. WE had the day off also. I love bubble wrap too!
ReplyDeleteTim: I agree--it's not as fun if you can't feel the bubble pop beneath your fingers! Did you notice that one of the bubbles, after you pop it, flushes a toilet? At least that happened on the large choice :)
ReplyDeleteET: I didn't realize that you had the day off, too. Well, you're a NORTH American!
Ruth, my daughter, is the bubblewrapaholic in our house. I have popped the virtual bubble wrap before, but it is nowhere near as satisfying as the real thing :)
ReplyDeleteDW: Every household needs at least one, I'm convinced. And I totally agree about the satisfaction of the real thing and it alone!
ReplyDeleteI like to torn a whole sheet! It makes a hell of a noise... Mwhahahahahah! BAD MP! Donica must have been a cat in another life, cause my cats hate that! Meow! :)
ReplyDeleteHaHa, MP. A cat in her past life may be true :) Nicholas likes to stomp on them with his feet!
